Director's Notes
Thanks for giving me the opportunity to present Theatre Woodstock's first major musical since Anne of Green Gables! The show that Time magazine called "good clean, dirty fun" has been running somewhere everywhere in the world since the early 1960's. The play is based on the style and spirit of the 26 surviving plays of Titus Maccius Plautus, a third-century Roman playwright who created comic conventions and humorous wordplay still being used by modern day writers.
Sally and I are proud and lucky to have such a dedicated and talented cast and crew. I thank them all for helping me bring my vision of Forum to life. Many of you will recognize our Musical Director extraordinaire, Chuck Baxter. We are also happy to welcome Jessica Johnson, the new owner of Woodstock Dance Academy, as our choreographer. They both take this show to the next level and have made the process fun and easy. We couldn't do it without a dedicated stage manager, set designers and builders, creative painters, costume designers, someone to find a rubber chicken - and many more people who cheerfully volunteered time and talent. It has been a fun and rewarding journey.
I advise you to get your tickets early and be prepared for a night of music and laughter!

In July, TW hosted the Western Ontario Drama League (WODL) Minifest with John R. Smith chairing a hardworking group of volunteers. The event was a huge success. Congratulations and a huge "Thank You" to John R, Cheryl Hylton, Laura Earle and the rest of the team!
This will continue to be an exciting season for Theatre Woodstock, as we will be hosting the WODL Festival in March 2009. We have our work cut out for us but with everyone pitching in I'm sure we'll break some legs. Bye for now!
