Theatre Woodstock announces 2003 - 2004 Season

Theatre Woodstock is pleased to announce its upcoming season.

Beginning the season is Norm Foster's Office Hours directed by Brian George, sponsored by Reeves. This funny look at how people get by in the modern work world by Canada's favourite comic author unfolds in six separate offices on one Friday afternoon. Or are they really separate? Performances will be held October 17, 18, 22, 23, 24, 25 at 8:00 p.m. and October 19 at 2:00 p.m.

The December show is A Christmas Story by Phil Grecian adapted from the movie by Jean Shepherd, directed by Donald Hastie, sponsored by Woodstock Chrysler. In this show we follow Ralphie's quest to get a genuine Red Ryder BB gun under his Christmas tree. Will he be successful? Ralphie and his friends' and family's antics are sure to put a smile on your face and kindle your Holiday Spirit. Performances December 5, 6, 10, 11, 12, 13 at 8:00 p.m. and December 7 at 2:00 p.m.

Love Letters by A.R. Gurney, directed by Peter Pownall, sponsored by Investment Planning Counsel, 69 Light St.arrives in time for Valentine's Day. This play allows us to follow two good friends through their lifelong exchange of letters. They grew up together as childhood friends, went their separate ways, but continued to share confidences. An evocative, touching and frequently funny performance. Performances February 6, 7, 11, 12, 13, 14 at 8:00 p.m. February 8 at 2:00 p.m.

Completing the season is Secrets Every Smart Traveller Should Know songs and sketches by Douglas Bernstein et al., directed by George Jolink, music direction by Vicki St. Pierre, sponsored by Robert Q Travel and Cruise Centre. If you've ever travelled anywhere by boat, plane, train or bus and lived to tell about it, this is the show for you! This fast paced, funny musical revue offers travel tips and cautionary tales. Hop on for the ride - it's sure to be a hysterical hit.

Subscriptions to all four shows which will be held at The Market Centre, 22 Reeve St., Woodstock are available now by calling the Market Centre Box Office 537 2582. Adult price is $55.00 for the four shows, Youths $40.00. Subscribers are guaranteed the same night and seat location for all shows.
