To Be Or Not To Be?
Member of TW?
I fell asleep the other night and while I had my snooze, I dreamed all members stepped right up and promptly paid their dues. But when I found it was a dream... I nearly threw a fit. It's up to you to make it true so won't you please remit? But as I sat and drank my coffee, I thought... Some did remember! So I thank you, you who were so prompt with your dues...some mailed in with Season Ticket orders, some joined with the production of The Odd Couple, and here's hoping for good reviews!

From Our President
During the summer months we often look forward to a time of recreation and relaxation. However, there was very little rest during the month of August for Jen Paquette and her cast and crew of Ghost Light, The Spirit of Broadway. I would like to send a personal note of congratulations to everyone who helped make CAST's summer camp such a success. Now that October is here, it is once again time for Theatre Woodstock and CAST to get back into the active autumn schedule.
We are looking forward to our season opener, The Odd Couple by Neil Simon, directed by Donald Hastie and produced by John R Smith. The set has been built and the actors are now rehearsing on the stage. If you don't have your tickets yet for this hilarious comedy, you may want to get them soon. Come and find out what happens when a meticulous neurotic shares an apartment with a bachelor slob. The show opens Friday, October 12 - and you won't want to miss what Barb Jasper has cooked up for our Opening Night festivities!
Our 'Annex' is also a flurry of activity. CAST's junior company is rehearsing on Saturday mornings, under the watchful eye of director, Don Fleckser. We are looking forward to a spectacular production of Jacob Two-Two Meets the Hooded Fang in January. Now that all the props and the set decor from The Odd Couple have moved out of the Annex, the cast and crew of Ethan Claymore are hot on their heels, waiting to move in. Ethan Claymore, written by Norm Foster and directed by Bonnie Hartley opens on December 7. Our February production, Diary of Anne Frank, will be directed by Jennifer Paquette. Look for the audition notice elsewhere in this issue. Theatre Woodstock ends its season in April with Daughters. This warm and funny play will be directed by Sue Miller-Veaudry. Our CAST senior company is busy rehearsing at the Market Centre building on Saturday mornings. They are preparing for a spring production of A Midsummer Night's Dream, directed by Justin Quesnelle. CAST's Junior company will also be staging two more shows, Tomorrow is Another Day, written and directed by Joanna Sweete and Frickle Monster, written and directed by Jason Paquette.
We are an extremely busy theatre company. I continue to be impressed by the quality of our productions and how well all the groups manage to work together.
I would like to take this opportunity to recognize our Board of Directors. They are a very committed group and I am very grateful for all their hard work. I would also like to thank our many volunteers who put so much time and effort into our plays. It is only with this dedication from our volunteer base that we are able to thrive and be a vital part of this community.
